Goodreads Giveaway Winners
First, thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway contest for the autographed print copy of The Torture of Girth. There were 738 entries. 300 people added the book as to-read. I was checking out some of the people who entered; and some really stood out to me. I was even pulling for some people to win; because it seemed obvious to me that they had entered the right contest and might enjoy the book almost too much.

The demographics of the 5 winners are interesting. I made the book available for Goodreads members in the US, CANADA, GREAT BRITAIN and AUSTRALIA. The winners are all female between the ages of 18 and 30, for all can tell. Three are from the US, one from Canada and one from London, England. From the statistics I've gathered from the winners, I can't tell whether I'll land any reviews from the giveaway or not...maybe or maybe not. For all I know, they could be very helpful to me. In any case, I hope they enjoy the book and spread the word somehow!

Admittedly, I was afraid that the wrong people would win. Some people on Goodreads have entered hundreds of thousands of giveaways, written no reviews and rated nothing. Only God knows what they're doing with the books they win.

While I don't believe that the people who won my book are the most likely ones of all who entered to review it, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't review it or that they have any ulterior motives. I can't wait to hear what they think about the novel.
